  Although, not local to the area, we have eaten here on several occasions over the years and have never been disappointed. So we keep going back.
  Why? Because the food is good, there's lots of it, the prices are very reasonable and the high standards have been maintained. We love it and have even driven out of our way to have lunch there. It even exerts a greater pull than the fast food chains, so beloved of the youth these days, on my offspring.
  The landlady, who also does the cooking, is always welcoming. I have no hesitation in recommending this to anyone.

  Saturday night dining in a bistro pub can be hit and miss. Maybe we caught it on an off day. We were given a table right by the kitchen entrance, so there was a lot of traffic behind my back. The specials were reasonable, if on the pricey side. We would have preferred them to move us to another room on the left of the main entrance, which had better ambience.
